• Model Calculated Measure with the formula RESTRICTED not displaying in story in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC).
• Calculated measure in a model with the formula RESTRICTED will show data only on the lowest level of the "Date" hierarchy in the model.

 SAP Analytics Cloud

In the model:

1. Open the model.
2. Go to Calculations.
3. Select calculated measure "Actual_YTD" and check the properties:
   • Formula: RESTRICT([Amount] ,[d/Date]=Current("Year").Current("Quarter").Current("Month"))
   • Aggregation type: SUM
4. In the data Preview select:
   • (Optional) Rows: [Category]
   • Columns: [Measures]; [Date]
5. Notice, that will be listed for "Actual_YTD" only on the lowest level of the [Date] hierarchy.

Create a story based on the model:

1. Insert a table/chart:
   • Rows (Optional): [Category]
   • Columns: [Measure] filtered on "Actual_YTD"
2. Issue: No data will be loaded for "Actual_YTD" in the story.
3. Table warning: 
   Warnings
   Server Warning

   Dimension not found for field name : Current Member Dimension/Fieldname 'Date' or Hierarchy 'YQM' specified in member 'CustomDimension1::Actual_YTD' is not in drill.

By design behavior.

• To display the value in the table for the calculated measure Actual_YTD, the following conditions must be met:  
  • The dimension Date must either be drilled on the table side or added to the Required Dimensions for Aggregations.  
  • The Date Hierarchy must be drilled down to its lowest level.  
• This behavior is a known limitation in the Planning scenario. For further details, I recommend reviewing the relevant documentation here: Disaggregation of Values During Data Entry
  • "For some exception aggregation types, data can’t be disaggregated from unbooked cells. In this case, you can enter data directly to leaf members of the exception aggregation dimensions, but not to their parents. If the exception aggregation dimensions aren't added to a table axis, they need to be filtered to a single leaf member to enable data entry."
