3648345 - Decision note/comments functionality in Purchase Order approval screen

In the Purchase Order (PO) approval screen of SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, there is no option for PO approvers to send messages to the previous level approvers or the PO creator.

Out-of-the-box messaging or commenting functionality for Purchase Order approvers to directly communicate with previous approval levels or the PO creator is not available in the standard My Inbox app.

When approving a document in the My Inbox app, approvers can enter a decision note that provides more information on their decision. This decision note is then displayed in the Approval Details of the corresponding document. As a configuration expert, if the approver has also enabled the sending of email notifications about the approval result, the decision note can be displayed in the emails as well.

Selected recipients can receive an email whenever a purchase order is approved or rejected. This is helpful to notify the recipients about the approval status of a purchase order.
