3648460 - Issues while synchronizing users between SF and SAC through IAS/IPS

Symptom

During users synchronization between SuccessFactors (SF) and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), using Identity Authentication Service (IAS) and/or Identity Provisioning Service (IPS), to enable SAC Embedded in SF access, there are errors shown.

Environment

SAC Embedded into SF (OEM).

Reproducing the Issue

Synch users between SF and SAC using IAS/IPS.

Cause

Known limitations with the SCIM 2.0 (V2) protocol (a standardized protocol for automating the exchange of user identity information between different systems) with OEM integration. SCIM V2 currently has a maximum username length of 20 characters, while SF usernames can be longer than 20.

Resolution

Use SCIM 1.0 (V1) on the transformation configuration in IPS.
