Symptom

Error happens in Edit Actual Costing Runs app

  • ML4HMASTER106 'Close previous period for material & first'
  • ML4HMASTER107 'Close previous period for activity & first'

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

1. Select the previous period that needs to be closed:

Example: If you're trying to close period 10/2025 and getting ML4HMASTER106
You need to close period 09/2025 first.

2. If it's not allowed or you don't care about period 09/2025 anymore, you can set "Allow Open Status for Previous Period" on in the parameter setting of preparation step of Edit Actual Costing Run.

Then the error will be skipped.
