3648513 - Error ML4HRUN101 "Valuation Area locked for period MM year YYYY" - SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud

Error message ML4HRUN101 arises when any material posting is executed (goods movement, price change, settlement) and the valuation area is locked for that period.

• Only materials for the previous period are locked, so it is always possible to post during the current period. 
• In case the lock is set, all plants related to the costing run will be locked.
• At the moment, the option to delete Actual Costing Run does not automatically unlock the lock indicator. It can happen that a costing run is created and afterwards deleted, although the period lock indicator is not removed. 
• If the period lock is set in transaction "Edit Actual Costing Runs" and it is trying to execute a material posting in the previous period, the error ML4HRUN101 is displayed.

• To allow posting in the previous period, click on any of the green items in the Locked column of the costing run, it will switch to red and then click on save. Afterwards postings in previous period are allowed again.
  It is possible to leave it unlocked, but then the related materials will locked in both periods during actual costing.
• If a costing run has been deleted with lock period indicator active, as a temporary workaround it is possible create a new costing run for the same period. It is possible to show or change the locked period, after (re-) creating a new costing run for the relevant plant and period in "Edit Actual Costing Runs" (CKMLCP).
  It is recommended to remove the period lock entry in "Edit Actual Costing Runs" (CKMLCP) before deleting a costing run.
