3648534 - How to cancel a long-running multi action job in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

The multi-action job keeps running for a long time and appears to be frozen.

SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Launch a multi-action in SAP Analytics Cloud.
2. In the job monitor, observe that the job keeps running without completing.

One step inside the multi action is running, which prevents the multi action from completing.

1. Multi-action jobs currently cannot be canceled directly. Their status depends on the status of the jobs inside.
   • If a data action step is stuck in the multi-action, cancel the data action itself. Once canceled, the multi-action will naturally be canceled.
   • If the multi-action is stuck in the import job step, the multi-action will complete once the import job finishes.
2. In some cases, the step inside may have failed or completed, but the status of the multi-action remains running by mistake. In such scenarios, the multi-action does not consume resources and has no negative impact on the system. 
3. The development team is working on enhancing the behavior of the scenarios in point 2, but no timeline can be provided at this time.
