3648650 - "An unexpected error occurred while trying to update the dimension data" when refresh job in SAC public dimension

Specific job refresh fail in an existing public dimension with error message "An unexpected error occurred while trying to update the dimension data.".

SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

1. Open the public dimension and go to data management.
2. See the job fail with error "An unexpected error occurred while trying to update the dimension data".
3. in har file-refresh log, see error message"The parent of [MemberX/MemberY/MemberZ] doesn't exist in the same hierarchy. Please add the parent to the hierarchy, or select another parent".

The error message means that during the import, members are loaded which reference members MemberX, MemberY, and MemberZ as parents for hierarchy "Hierarchy_1" and/or "Hierarchy_2". Those three members have no parents (see below condensed text representation of the dimension grid with the three members with the Member ID column and the four hierarchy columns):

1. Enter in the six empty cells a value for a parent member, <root> will do also.
2. Save the dimension.
3. Perform the import again.
