3649030 - SLES: sapstartsrv dumped core on server with "Sapphire Rapids" processor

Symptom

  • sapstartsrv process is missing after DAA (diagnostic agent) starts. 

  • The issue persists despite executing the command '/usr/sap/hostctrl/exe/sapcontrol -nr 98 -function StartService'.

  • The problem arose after moving to a new server with CPU type: Intel(R) Xeon(R) Gold 6442Y.

  • OS log (/var/log/messages) shows the process got core dumped after it started.
