3649033 - Inconsistent confirmation messages when removing admin-assigned items through Manage Assignments in Learning

 The message "The Items and/or Programs were removed successfully" is displayed when a manager attempts to remove admin and/or AP-assigned items through Manage Assignments. However, the items are not removed from the user's learning plan, which is expected based on the documentation. Yet, the message displayed does not correspond to the actual system behavior.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Ensure the manager has 'Manage Assignments' permission >
2. As the manager, go to My Learning > Team View >
3. Select 'Manage Assignments' >
4. Select 'Remove Assigned Learning' >
5. Under 'Items and Programs', add the admin and/or AP-assigned item >
6. Under 'Employees', select the employee >
7. Click on 'Continue' > Remove Learning > 
8. The message 'The Items and or Programs were removed successfully.' is displayed >
9. In the Team View, when checking the user's assigned items, the assignment has not been removed despite the successful message.

Regardless of whether the options under 'Manager can remove assignments made by an Administrator' are enabled, the bulk removal of items via the Manage Assignments function is not supported unless the assignment is made by a manager. Admin assignments should be removed from the respective course, program details, and curriculum status pages. The settings under 'Manager can remove assignments made by an Administrator' do not apply to manager bulk actions. This behavior is explained in KBA 3615081 - Managers unable to remove admin assigned items on Team View.

The Product Management Team has confirmed that this is the current system behavior. However, they acknowledge that the message displayed does not correspond to the actual system behavior and should be updated in future product releases. Improvements for this experience are already planned in our short-term roadmap; however, they cannot provide a specific timeline at this time.
