3649075 - SAP Customer Data Cloud (CDC) - Use Two Different Emails to Create Account and Authentication but can Allow Both Two Emails to Login - Recruiting Management

Symptom

When enabling CDC authentication, creating an account using email A and changing to email B to receive the authentication code results. After account creation, can use both Email A and Email B to log in.  

Environment

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enable CDC.
  2. Create a candidate profile using email A.
  3. Change the authentication email to email B during the verification process.
  4. Enter the authentication code sent to email B and log in successfully.
  5. Log out of the account.
  6. Attempt to log in using email B and verify that authentication codes are sent to email B.
  7. Log in successfully using email B.
  8. Log out again.
  9. Attempt to log in using email A and verify that authentication codes are still sent to email B.
  10. Log in successfully using email A.

Resolution

There's already an enhancement from SAP CDC team to solve this unexpected issue, https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/idea/317538/

Workaround

Control the editability of the email field via CSS manipulation.
