3649123 - Random SIGSEGV or 700 series errors reported in the error log - SAP ASE

• One or multiple signal 11 (SIGSEGV) are reported in the ASE error log
• The stack patterns are not consistent
• But the functions in the Address line and stacktrace indicate optimizer code is being executed.
• Commonly seen stack modules have a variation of  Destructor or DestructObj:

  TcElement::Destructor(OptPool*)
  TcElement::DestructObj(OptPool*)
  
  
• Errors from the 700 series, such as 702 or 707, are reported at random times.
