3649343 - Error "serial numbers can only be maintained for items assigned to a plant" in the "Manage In-house Repairs" app

When creating a returns order for the repair object (equipment) in the "Manage In-house Repairs" app, the following error occurs: "Serial numbers can only be maintained for items assigned to a plant".

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Navigate to the "Manage In-House Repairs" app.
2. Select the in-house repair order.
3. Go to the "Repair Objects" tab.
4. Select the relevant object and click "Decide".
5. After selecting "Returns Order", the error "Serial numbers can only be maintained for items assigned to a plant" appears.

The root cause of the issue lies in the missing "delivering plant" for the product in the material master data.

Maintain the "delivering plant" field with a value for the product in the material master data.
