3649349 - How to exclude specific Business Documents from automatic deletion in Information Lifecycle Management Work Center?

• The system has been scoped for Information Lifecycle Management and retention periods for business documents have been maintained. 
• It is possible to flag specific documents to be excluded from this process when exceptions are required ?

SAP Business ByDesign 

• The issue occurs when specific business documents need to be retained and excluded from automatic deletion processes due to exceptions or compliance requirements. 
• The absence of proper configuration or use of the Overrule Retention Settings option can lead to unintended deletion of these documents.

1. Go to the Information Lifecycle Management work center. 
2. Access the Lifecycle Items view.
3. Identify the Overrule Retention Settings option located above the table in the Lifecycle Items view.
4. Input the new Overrule Residence End Date and Overrule Retention End Date.
5. Save the changes.
