Symptom

An error message displayed "Enter a parameter KR_VAT_APPROVAL_NUMBER within 9 characters" after executed a New Run of South Korea General Taxpayer VAT Declaration.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to Document and Reporting Compliance > Run Statutory Reports.
  2. Choose the reporting entity KR_VAT_ENT.
  3. Choose the report category KR_GENVAT_REP.
  4. Choose General Taxpayer VAT Declaration (South Korea).
  5. Initiate a new run.
  6. Observe that the General Taxpayer VAT PDF document is generated with error message.

Cause

The APPROVAL_NUMBER parameter was initially stored with 10 characters instead of the required length within 9 characters.

Resolution

Change the APPROVAL_NUMBER to a value within 9 characters.
