Symptom
Unable to edit the "Allow LC, TC" setting for a custom version in the Define Versions configuration activity.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Navigate to the Define Versions configuration activity in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
- Attempt to edit the "Allow LC, TC" setting for a custom version.
- Observe that the setting cannot be modified.
Cause
Certain settings, including "Allow LC, TC", are locked after the version is created in the Create Version from Reference Version configuration activity.
Based on help Consolidation Versions
Certain settings can only be set once when you create the version in the Create Version from Reference Version configuration activity. Afterwards, you can no longer change these settings in the Define Versions configuration activity. These settings are the following:
- Version Type
- Reference Version
- Group Currency
- Run Mode
- Allow LC, TC, Qty Changes
- Fiscal Year Variant
Resolution
- Disable the existing version by updating its description to indicate it is no longer in use (e.g., "NO USE").
- Create a new version with the desired settings in the Create Version from Reference Version configuration activity.
