3649826 - Time sheet submitted for users from Onboarding stage

Employee who is in onboarding stage, got their timesheets automatically created. 

• SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking
• SAP SuccessFactors Time Sheet

Product Engineering confirmed that they are aware of this behaviour.

As the Onboarding new hires have an active Job Information from the (original) start date, the Time Sheet generation job starts generating sheets from this start date.
The information whether the actual onboarding is completed is only available in the Onboarding module and not exposed to Time Management.
With this it is difficult to suppress generation for these employees.
Also usually this is the intended behavior if start date is not changed.

When time related job information is filled, Generate job will be triggered and time sheets will be generated for onboarding new hires.

1) If you use the old People Profile, you will get this below message
You cannot view this profile. If the target user is an onboardee, make sure that you have enabled inactive user search and the onboardee has completed the "Manage Pending Recruit" process.

2) When you use the new People Profile, no error message will be displayed.

Workaround:

The recommended handling of such situation is the following:

1) Manually delete the affected time sheets before moving the start date.
This shall be possible from Manage Data screen or MDF delete 

2) Onboarding employees: Time-related fields shall be removed for Onboarding employees.
Please only fill the Time Information of the user when the user is fully onboarded!

If the time related fields are filled for these users, time sheets will be generated, and you need to manually delete them. 

If the above workaround is not suitable for you, please raise an Influence request.
