During position import validation, job fails with error as "You can’t save this instance as there is an internal error. If the issue continues, please contact Product Support. " 

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central - Position Management

1. Go to import and export data
2. Select the object : Position
3. Upload the file
4. Validate

• This is an Configuration issue.
• OnSave rule is trying to set a position external code to the position based on few parameters if some conditions are met. These conditions are met while the position already exist with an existing external code. 

Please disable the rule which is creating position code during import.

Please ensure that the business rule can only have the conditions met if the position external code is null.
