3650015 - It is mandatory to send event reason on Onboarding initiation - Onboarding

As of the 2H2025 release, it is now mandatory that you pass the event reason upon initiating the onboarding process.

This article brings two scenarios examples: 

Scenario 1: Rehire Candidate

1. Start a candidate from RCM
   
2. The mapping is not present
   
3. Value is not flowing to Onboarding side
   
4. Candidate on manage data
   
5. Candidate is on Rehire tile for verification
   
6. Candidate found on Business Process tile with error
   
   
7. Mapping the event reason
   
8. Restarting the Process
   
9. Event reason flows
   
10. The candidate appears on Dashboard:
    

Scenario 2: New Hire

1. Start Onboarding ( the event reason is not mapped)
   
2. Candidate found on Business Process tile with error
   
   
3. As e event reason is not mapped, the same is not flowing
   
4. When the event reason is provide
   
5.  The error is gone after restart process and candidate is available on Dashboard
   

Additional Information:

• The event reason can also be sent via rule—the only requisite is it to be sent to Onboarding side.
• The test/behavior applies to any type of hire
