3650154 - Discrepancy Between Start and End Time of Attendance Requests in Story Report and Time Sheet UI

The start and end times of an attendance request appear differently in the Story Report compared to the Time Sheet UI.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central – Time Sheet

1. Record an attendance request in the time sheet UI with a start and end time. (e.g., 08:00–15:00)
2. Generate a story report for the request; start and end times show a several-hour difference compared to the UI. (e.g., 10:00–17:00)

The discrepancy in the attendance request is caused by the time difference between the customer server’s local time zone and Coordinated Universal Time (UTC).

The behavior occurs because Story Reports use the system client timezone. As a result, the reported data is displayed according to the time zone configured on the user’s local PC or computer.

Analytics Product Engineering is working on a solution to  address the issue EmployeeTimeSheet object will not beed in the upcoming 1H2026 release. At this point we do not have a confirmed schedule for when it might be resolved. We will update this KBA once a planned resolution timeframe is confirmed. Workaround:

Select Time Recording Data object as the root object instead of EmployeeTimeSheet. 

 We recommend this approach because Time Recording Data includes:

• All Time Recordings (new data model with flexible periods)
• Employee Time Sheet Entries (old data model – Legacy Week, one-week periods)

From Time Recording Data, you can retrieve Date, Start Time, and End Time, so it should meet the requirements. Also, our Product Engineering team has resolved issues related to timestamping and filtering in this object. Please refer to below screenshots for an example of how this would look.
