3650482 - Total Target for Sales Unit Field in Quick Create of Sales Target Planning Greyed Out

You are creating a new sales target planning and you noticed the field 'Total Target for Sales Unit' greyed out; you wonder how it is filled/its logic.

SAP Sales Cloud

1. Sales
2. Sales Target Planning
3. New button
4. Notice the Total Target for Sales Unit greyed out and you cannot input any value there despite what you select in the other fields

The field is the sum of target amount defined in all plans for sales unit of current plan

Edit your plan structure in Excel for better experience (using Add-In for Microsoft Excel)

1. Sales
2. Sales Target Planning
3. Select the plan ABC (where ABC is the plan)
4. Click in Edit -> Plan Data in Microsoft Excel
5. Click in enable editing
6. Login with your credentials in Excel Add-in tab.
7. There in the results row you will see DEF (as sum of each month result)
8. If you change DEF select , select the refresh icon
9. Go back to the plan in SAP Sales Cloud screen and notice the Total Target for Sales Unit field changing.
