3650662 - Steps to capture Network Trace and Console logs

Symptom

This article outlines how to capture Network Trace and console logs in case additional information for analysis is required if exceptions and errors are observed.

Environment

SAP Sales and Service Cloud Version 2

Resolution

The detailed steps to capture console and network logs are explained below:

Steps to take Console logs:

  1. Logon to system using Chrome browser.
  2. Click on Settings -> More Tools-> Developer Tools. (Or using Keyboard, click on Fn + F12)
  3. Developer tools get launched.
  4. Navigate to Console.
  5. Clear off old logs. ( The button on top left that is a circle with a line through it ).
  6. Reproduce the scenario.
  7. Then, in the Console tab, right click on one of the entries and select "Save as" and save the log file.

Network Trace:

  1. Navigate to screens and replicate the scenario
  2. Once error or unexpected behaviour is noticed, navigate back to network trace.
  3. Click the download button, Export HAR, to download, and save the file to your computer.
  4. Zip and attach the HAR file.
