3651109 - Error: "Record ID is a required field and cannot be blank." while Importing National ID with Validity Period - SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

• You have enabled National ID with Validity Period in SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central.
• When attempting to import National ID information, the import fails and an error message is displayed.
• The error message states: "Record ID is a required field and cannot be blank".
• This field is not configured as required under Manage Business Configuration.
• Manual entry of data into the employee profile in the National ID portlet works without issues.

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to "Import Employee Data" in the system.
2. Select "Import Data" and choose the entity "National ID Information".
3. Upload the import file and click on "Validate Import File Data".
4. Observe the error message: "Record ID is a required field and cannot be blank".

• The Record ID was left blank in the import file.
• The "record-id" field is required during the import validation process, even if it is not marked as mandatory in the Manage Business Configuration.

• The record-id field needs to be filled in the import file. You have two options:

1. 1. Fill the field with the value "&&AUTO_GENERATE&&" for automatic generation of record IDs.
   2. Enter 32-digit hexadecimal characters (base 16) in lowercase with the format xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx. Digit 13 must be 4; Digit 17 can be 8, 9, a, or b; all other digits can be random hexadecimal characters.

• Reattempt the import process and validate the file.
• Confirm that the import works successfully without errors.
