3651154 - Unable to Find Sales Order Service Item-level Partner Function Details in the CDS View I_CustProjSlsOrdItemPartner

Symptom

  • Partner function details are not retrieved from the sales order item-level CDS view I_CustProjSlsOrdItemPartner.
  • Partner function details are successfully retrieved from the header-level CDS view I_CustProjSlsOrdPartner.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to the "Customer Data Browser" application.
  2. Select the "CDS Views" tab.
  3. Search for the CDS view I_CUSTPROJSLSORDPARTNER.
  4. Apply filters for Customer Project and Sales Order.
  5. Observe that results are displayed in the results.
  6. Search for the CDS view I_CUSTPROJSLSORDITEMPARTNER.
  7. Apply the same filters for Customer Project and Sales Order.
  8. Observe that no results are displayed.

Cause

The CDS view I_CustProjSlsOrdItemPartner is designed to display only item-specific partners. It does not include item partners inherited from the header.

Resolution

Verify the "Partner differs from header" flag in the "Plan Customer Projects" application under the "Billing" tab. If the flag is unchecked, note that item partners are inherited from the header, and no item partner information will appear in the CDS view I_CustProjSlsOrdItemPartner. Besides, there is no CDS view to display item partners inherited from the header. This is because this union is intended to be calculated rather than directly displayed.
