Symptom
You have created a new party role but this is not showing in the New Sales Order Involved Parties dropdown.

Reproducing the Issue
You have defined a new custom Party Role from the activity Party Role Definition and you expect the new Party Role to be visible in new sales order.
- Go to Business configuration work center.
- Go to the Implementation Projects view.
- Click on Open Activity list and go to Fine-Tune.
- Select Party Role Definition.
- Open the activity and create a new Party Role XYZ.
- Save and Close.
- Go to Sales Order work center.
- Select New Sales Order.
- Edit and navigate to Involved Parties tab.
- Click on Add Row button.
- The Party Role drop down list is not showing the new Party Role XYZ.
XYZ represents the ID of the new party role.
Cause
You need to add the party role to the fine-tuning activity Involved Parties for Sales.
Resolution
- Go to the Business Configuration work center.
- Access the Overview work center view.
- Find and open the activity Involved Parties for Sales.
- Add the party role XYZ.
- Click on Save and Close.
Afterwards, when adding new party role in the sales order, the expected party role XYZ is displayed in the drop down list.
