Symptom
- The regex pattern `^[a-zA-Z0-9]{6,10}$` is expected to disallow spaces in the schema field.
- When a trailing space is added to a 6-digit entry, no error is triggered, even though the regex should disallow it.
- Spaces within the field are correctly disallowed, but trailing spaces are sanitized before validation, bypassing the regex check.
