Symptom
When uploading an Excel file via Bulk User Import, the value in the Default Dictionary is blocked by the visibility formula defined for that dictionary. The super admin should be able to upload users linked to any existing dictionary, regardless of the current setup of the super admin user.
Environment
SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ
Reproducing the Issue
- Make sure a super admin is logged (Users > Access Rights > Access Rights Administrators)
- Create 2 custom dictionaries with different visibility formulas
- Set up your super admin user so that it has visibility to one of the custom dictionaries created in step 2 only
- Create a user upload file to upload 2 user records: in the Default Dictionary field enter the names of the custom dictionary created in step 2
- Upload the file via Import/Export > Bulk User Import/Export
- Once uploaded, download the result file of the upload. Check if upload was successful: only the record linked to the dictionary for which the super admin user has visibility rights, will have been successfully added to the database. The other record will have failed, with the message that the value in the column default dictionary is invalid.
- Change the setup of your super admin user so that it has access to both dictionaries (or change the visibility formula of the dictionary created in step 2)
- Repeat step 5 and 6: both the user records will have been uploaded.
Resolution
This is a bug and the tentative fix version is 2511.
