Symptom
- Forward propagation does not work in jobInfo when an update is performed in the position with a record having a past effective date.
- Certain fields related to generic or foundation objects are not synced correctly on future-dated records.
- Update is properly performed in the position date change, but future record in Job Information returns to the previous value instead of forward propagate.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Add a record in the future on the employee profile changing one field.
- Add another record with an earlier effective date than the previous record on the position, either via Manage Position or Edit Position.
- Observe the employee profile. The future-dated record does not fully update with previous details, causing misalignments between the position and the employee profile.
Cause
There are association issues with the fields that are not forward propagated.
Resolution
- Adjust associations for affected fields, especially on Manage Business Configuration field criteria.
- Test the changes to confirm that the sync works correctly for all fields.
