Symptom
Time accounts are not created after the completion of crossboarding hiring process.
Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Time - Time Off
Reproducing the Issue
- Job information is created via Crossboarding to Hire Mapping. Crossboarding is used if you have set "Enable Additional Internal Hire Activities" to OFF on the Onboarding general setting page
- Job information is successfully created.
- Nevertheless, Time accounts are not created for the user.
Cause
- The logs indicate that the user is not a new hire but a crossboarding employee. (For Support Engineers , see internal memo)
- Time Management does not support crossboarding hire events. It is crossboarding, when the "Enable Additional Internal Hire Activities" switch is disabled in the Onboarding general settings.
Resolution
- Navigate to the Onboarding general settings page.
- Enable the "Enable Additional Internal Hire Activities" switch to ON:
- This will allow the system to process the Internal hire event which is same raised during RCM - EC Internal Hire
- It is mandatory to use the "Enable Additional Internal Hire Activities" switch to ON flow if Time Off and it's features is expected to use.
Note: “With Enable Additional Internal Hire Activities” switch is ON, Job Information data updates is done with Changes source type as “InternalHire” which executes the time post-processing for time account and accrual creation and other time management post processing activities.
