3652075 - Unable to populate multiple external references in a solution order - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

A user would like to populate multiple external reference types and values to a solution order through API.

The standard system behavior does not support adding multiple external references under the "Additional External References" tab. This tab only displays data when it has been populated through API services. Based on the current API, for the additional external references property, only strings within 80 lengths can be populated. 

• Based on the current product, the workaround is to combine the value of multiple references into a single string within 80 chars. These values can be separated through separators. To get values, an additional string manipulation process is needed.
• To have this function available, raise a feature request in the Customer Influence Portal.
