3652087 - Freight Migration Fails with Error: "Mandatory Value Missing in Column Document Type"

During freight migration using the migration tool, the validation step fails with the following error message:
'Freights': Mandatory value missing in column 'Document Type'.

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to the Business Configuration Work center.
2. Select the Overview View.
3. Search and Open the activity Migration of Freights.
4. Choose Migrate freights using the migration tool.
5. Select You Can Also at the top right corner of the screen and download the Migration Template.
6. Fill in the required and mandatory fields in the migration file, leaving the field Document Type empty.
7. Upload the Migration File.
8. Execute the migration for the respective file with Execute Migration Step by Step.

In the Validation step, observe the following error:

'Freights': Mandatory value missing in column 'Document Type'.

The error occurs because migration of custom freights is not supported in the migration tool. The field Document Type is mandatory in the standard freight migration template, and if it is not maintained, the system raises the validation error.

Custom freights cannot be migrated using the migration tool. Instead, create freights via the Web Service ManageSalesPriceSpecificationIn, which does not require the Document Type field.
