Symptom

Error when trying to add a table in SAP Analytics Cloud Excel Add-in:
"Parsing Error: Tabelle1!Z1S1:Z3S2 is not a valid Excel address" or "Parsing Error: Sheet1!R1C1:R3C2 is not a valid Excel address"

Reproducing the Issue

1. Login to SAP Analytics Cloud Excel Add-in 
2. Try to select the table

Cause

The "Parsing Error: Sheet!R1C1:R3C2 is not a valid Excel address" occurs when the option "R1C1 reference style" is ticked in the Excel Options / Formulas section.

Resolution

  1. Open Excel
  2. Select the menu 'File / Options'
  3. Select Formulas section
  4. Make sure that the option "R1C1 reference style" is NOT ticked
