Symptom

  • Significant performance issues observed after upgrading SAP IQ from version 16.0 to version 16.1.
  • Queries that completed in approximately 15 minutes on version 16.0 are taking over 2 hours on version 16.1.
  • Attempting to change the join algorithm from "Sort-Merge" to "Hash" caused the server to become unresponsive.
