3652251 - Error "base salary pay component is missing" during enrollment of savings plan

Symptom

When trying to enroll into Savings Plan Benefit the error "Base Salary Pay Component is missing" is faced.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central > Global Benefits

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Navigate to employee profile
  2. In Benefits portlet, select enroll
  3. Click "Next" till the HSA savings plan page
  4. The error message "Base Salary Pay Component is missing." is faced

Cause

The pay component assigned to the employee in the compensation information is set with a frequency which is not listed in the savings plan deduction details within the benefits section.

Resolution

You will need to align the compensation information frequency with the benefits deduction frequency to resolve the issue.

  1. Verify the frequency maintained for the employee in the compensation information for the Base Salary Pay Component
  2. Ensure that the same frequency assigned in the compensation information is added to the deduction details of the savings plan, in the benefits section
