Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Copying and pasting tables with formatting from Excel to RTE in Job Requisition richText fields, such as the Internal Job Description Header.
  2. Select "Keep Formatting".
  3. Observe that the formatting is visible before saving.
  4. Save the changes.
  5. Observe that the table borders disappear.

Cause

This is a known issue.

The issue occurs when the font-family name is not in English, such as 'MS ゴシック', which the current code does not support.

Workaround:

Use the English font name.

Operating system settings can affect how font names are displayed, so the English name may not appear in the font list. If the English name is missing, enter the font‘s official English name manually.

  1. Open the document.
  2. Select the text you want to copy.
  3. In the font dropdown, type the official English font name and press Enter (For example, change 'MS ゴシック' to 'MS Gothic' -- see Microsoft Typography).
  4. Select the text again and confirm the font name is changed.
  5. Copy the text and paste it into the Rich Text Editor
