3652435 - The deployment of Integration Flow fails due to '&' character existing in Externalized Parameters

Symptom

  • When updating Cloud Integration iFlow configuration values via the public API with special characters (for example: !@#$%^&*(QWRTYU+_)(*&^%$#/?.,\][';.,adsfghj9/7845), the configuration update succeeds, but the subsequent deployment fails. 
  • Updating the same configuration value manually via the UI allows the deployment to succeed.
  • In SAP Cloud Integration, Integration Flow cannot be deployed successfully due to "Error: CONTENT][CONTENT_DEPLOY][GenerationFailed] : Generation and Build error". It's observed that there is some Externalized Parameter configured with '&' character in the value field, just for example, sap-client=100&
