3652724 - Error While Attempting to Close Activity Solution Capabilities "Activity Merge Changes cannot be changed manually"

When attempting to close the project, the following error message appears: "Activity Merge Changes cannot be changed manually."

1. Navigate to "Business Configuration" work center.
2. Open the "Implementation project" view.
3. Select the "project" and access the activity list.
4. Go to the "Go Live" tab.
5. Attempt to close activities "Merge Changes" and "Activate Solution Capabilities".
6. Observe the error message: "Activity Merge Changes cannot be changed manually".

It appears that the activity "Activate Solution Capabilities" was directly attempted to be closed without performing the required steps.

1. Open the "Merge Changes" activity.
2. Click on Start Merge button.
3. After the Change Project has been merged, this activity may be displayed, depending on the business configuration changes that have been made in the Change Project.

This is a special activity that switches on the communication/integration capabilities of newly scoped components. It is required to complete this activity to activate some elements after the merge. After completing this activity, the status of the project will be changed to Merged. Without performing and closing this activity, the project will not be able to be closed.
