3652738 - Posting rules for event-based orders not editable in sap s/4hana cloud public edition

• The posting rules for Event-Based orders are not editable.
• Users are unable to modify equivalence numbers for specific production orders.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the app "Display Posting Rules - Event-Based" in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
2. Attempt to edit the posting rules for a specific production order.

It's explained in the help portal:

Posting rule of an order can only be edited before any settlement takes place for the order, that is, no variance settled to inventory (for material receiver) or cost distributed to other cost objects (for non-material receivers). After that, the posting rule cannot be changed anymore.

Canceling the settlement, for example, by revoking final delivery or technical completion or by canceling goods movement or activity confirmation, can make the posting rule be editable again.

Please note, if the order is assigned with settlement type Manually Settled (event-based processing key ORDMS or PCCMS), manual reversal of variance is needed.
