Symptom
Once open a query and perform some changes, it is unable to save queries using the "Save Query" option.
"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."
Environment
SAP Cloud for Customer
Reproducing the Issue
Issue can be raised in any Queries, take Opportunity object as an example.
- Navigate to the "Sales" work center.
- Open the "Opportunity" work center view.
- Start Adaptation mode
- Open the Advanced Search for query "All"
- "Save Query" option is not able to click
Cause
The behavior is expected for default system-designed queries. Their configurations are fixed and cannot be modified. Once you check the "Organize Queries", the query name is also not allowed to edit for system designed queries.
Resolution
As a workaround, you are able to design a new custom query and save it by selecting "Save Query As". Once saved, if you prefer not to display the system-designed queries, you can go to "Organize Queries," use the "Hide" icon to conceal the system-designed queries, and set your custom query as the default by clicking the "Default" icon. After completing these steps, only your desired query will appear in the list when accessed.
