How to extract a complete list of all stories including the following information in SAC?

• ID
• Name
• Owner
• Dependencies
• Created Time
• Classic or ODE story

• SAP ANALYTICS CLOUD 2025.14.8 

Option 1: Leverage existing System Overview dashboard

1. Log on to SAC and then go to System > Overview.
2. Switch to Content > BI.
   => You will get one list of all stories including ID, Name, Description and Owner.
3. Click context menu from top-riight of the table and then Open Data Analyer.
   => You can show more information there by selecing the dimenion you want.

Option 2: Create your own story based on Resource model

1. Log on to SAC and create a new story
2. Insert one Table and select Resource model as Data Source.
3. Add Filter on Object Type and select STORY.
4. Select the following dimensions into Rows:
   • Object ID
   • Object Name
   • OBJECT_OWNER
   • Created Time
   • Dependency ID
   • Dependecy Name
   • Dependency Type

The two options above could provides comprehensive details about the object, excluding the Story Version (Classic or ODE), which is planned to be included into Resource model (ans System Overview as well) in Q1 2026 (subject to change).

Workaround: utilize SAC_PERFORMANCE_E2E model to get the story version (Classic or ODE)

1. Log on to SAC and create a new story
2. Insert one Table and select SAC_PERFORMANCE_E2E model as Data Source.
3. Add Filter on Resource Type and select STORY.
4. Select the following dimensions into Rows:
   • Object ID
   • Story (Flat Presentation)
   • Story Version
   • Story Start Time 

Note that the result will show all cations for stories, so if a Story has been used in past in classic mode and then has been converted to optimized, we have both values for the Story.
In this case, please check latest Story Start Time to understand what is the current version (Classic or ODE) of the story.
