Symptom
- Custom fields from the Goal Plan template cannot be found in Story report Query Designer when selecting "All Templates" schema under "Objective Management".
- Custom fields are made reportable correctly as outlined in 2072664 - How to Make Fields Available So They Show in Reports - Goal Management/Career Development - SAP for Me and 2456115 - Report on Custom Fields in an Objective/Goal Plan - Goal Management - SAP for Me.
- Fields are available in Table reports without any issue.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
- Story Report
Reproducing the Issue
- Enter to Query Designer to attempt to build a Story report using Custom Fields (made reportable via XML) from the Goal Plan template.
- After dragging and dropping the "Primary Objective Fields" table from under "All Templates" into the Query Designer area, look for Custom Goal Fields.
- Verify that these fields are missing despite being available in Table reports.
Cause
The custom fields are only available in "Primary Objective Fields" within their respective template's table and not under "Primary Objective Fields" from "All Templates".
Resolution
This is expected behavior and the current limitation of the product.
If you believe having Custom Goal Fields available in the "All Templates" table would be important for your business, we would advise you to raise an enhancement request as outlined in 2090228 - How to submit enhancement ideas for SAP SuccessFactors Products - SAP for Me.
