3653588 - Rule for completed assessment not triggering - Recruiting Management

The rule designed to update the candidate status upon reaching "completed assessment" in SAP SuccessFactors is not functioning properly. Despite being configured according to the SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Assessment Rule Documentation, the rule fails to trigger when the assessment status changes to "completed," and the rule trace logs do not provide any information.

SAP SuccessFactors Recruiting Management

1. Candidate applies to the job requisition.
2. Candidate receives the assessment URL.
3. Candidate completes the assessment.
4. Assessment status is updated to "completed" (status = 0).
5. The configured business rule should trigger and move the candidate to the defined status.
6. The rule does not trigger, and the candidate status remains unchanged.

This is a missing functionality, as the rule for completed assessment does not trigger when the assessment status is updated via OData API.

Currently, when the assessment status is updated via the OData API, the predefined rule for a completed assessment does not trigger as expected. This behavior is due to a missing feature in the system—the integration with the OData API does not support rule triggering.

To ensure rules are triggered upon assessment completion, it is necessary to use the SuccessFactors API (SFAPI) instead of the OData API. By leveraging SFAPI, users can effectively ensure that the completion of assessments triggers the necessary system rules and actions.
