3653693 - Default Budget or Instructions Panel Behavior in Executive Review

When planners open the Compensation worksheets or Executive Review, the Budget or Instructions panel does not consistently open by default across different plan templates or sessions.

Product version: SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core 2505

1. Open Executive Review for a plan template.
2. Budget/Instruction panel is displayed by default.
3. Close the panel using the “X” mark.
4. Reopen the same Executive Review – Budget/Instruction panel is not displayed.

This is expected system behavior. The “Default Panel to Open for Worksheet” setting applies only to the first-time opening of the worksheet. Subsequent openings retain the last panel state (open/closed) based on user interaction.

The Budget/Instruction tab opens by default only during the first-time access of the worksheet when the setting “Default Panel to Open for Worksheet” is configured to Budget.

On subsequent openings, the system retains the last state of the panel (open or closed) based on user interaction. This behavior is as designed and is considered expected system behavior.

To reset the panel state and have the Budget tab appear by default again:

• Log out of the system
• Clear the browser cache
• Log back in and access the worksheet again

This will trigger the default panel setting as intended.
