3653788 - Formatting of secondary value of a Numeric Point chart changed in the latest update of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

Symptom

  • Secondary values of a Numeric Point chart displayed the label and value on one line before.
  • After the latest update to SAP Analytics Cloud, the alignment of Secondary Values changed, it is now displaying the label and value on separate lines.
  • Secondary Values of a Numeric Point chart in SAP Analytics Cloud now display like:

        12345
        My Value

Instead of displaying the label, and values on one line like:

        My Value    12345

Environment

SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.14.9

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Login to SAP Analytics Cloud.
  2. Open a Story containing a Numeric Point chart with Secondary Values.
  3. Observe that the Secondary Values display as:

       My Value 12345

  4. Update the Numeric Point chart.
  5. Notice that the Secondary Values formatting changes to display on 2 lines, like:

       12345
       My Value

  6. And there is no option to revert to the previous alignment format.

Cause

  • The alignment for Secondary values for Numeric Point chart was changed in the Q3/2025 update of SAP Analytics Cloud.
  • It now displays the Secondary value, and label on 2 lines.

Resolution

  • There is no option on the new Numeric Point chart to change how the Secondary value display.

  • Workaround:
    • If you have a story that uses the previous version of the Numeric Point chart, copy the widget from that story, to any new story.
    • The copy of the widget will then use the previous version of the Numeric Point chart, and therefore the formatting will be exactly like it was before.
