Symptom
When the Time Sheet UI is opened, the monthly calendar view is displayed by default.
Environment
- SAP SuccessFactors Time Sheet
- SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking
Cause
After you activate monthly time sheets, the calendar view is available automatically.
In addition, the following configuration requirements apply:

The length of the Time Recording Approval Period object is set to Calendar Month.

The Time Recording Approval Period field is added in the time recording profile.
- You assign the new time recording profile to employees in the Job Information. When doing so, make sure no time sheets, no time recordings, and no allowance recordings exist in the period that is affected by the Job Information change from weekly to monthly time sheets.
If you implement custom fields on the Time Recording and Allowance Recording objects, these custom fields must have the same names as the custom fields on the Employee Time Sheet Entry and Allowance objects to allow copying between days as well as reporting.
Monthly time sheets are only available for SAP SuccessFactors Time Tracking customers.
Resolution
Weekly View/ List view:
The list view remains the default for weekly time sheets when "Legacy Week" is selected as a time recording approval period
(Legacy Week refers to a weekly time sheet period that starts on a particular weekday, for example, Monday.
This approval period is the original time sheet approval period. By definition, this option is not a flexible approval period.)
Monthly Calendar view:
The Monthly Calendar View becomes the default view for monthly time sheets when enabled.
The calendar view is now automatically available to all Time Tracking customers. This feature is automatically on in the system and is visible on the employee UI.
When you set up a flexible approval period, the calendar view of the time sheet UI is the default view.
When the Monthly calendar view is activated, toggle option will always be visible. This means that users with weekly time sheets can also use both the list view and the monthly calendar view. It is not possible to enable the additional view for only a group of users; it is either available to all users or none.
The Monthly Calendar view is an additional view and, when enabled, it is provided to ALL time sheet UI users (weekly as well as monthly time sheets).
