Symptom
When files are downloaded from the Manage Documents tool either manually or by following the SAP Help's recommendations for downloading documents in bulk, a metadata file in .csv format is generated for each zip file. The created metadata file lacks columns that identify the user to whom the document pertains, such as Employee ID, First Name, or Last Name.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
Resolution
To identify the user associated with a document, one should consult the "Uploaded By" and "Document Owner" columns.
The metadata file does not include columns such as Employee ID, First Name, or Last Name, and those cannot be included, since the metadata file is not editable. Instead, the "Uploaded By" and "Document Owner" columns are the key options for determining which user a document belongs to. These columns offer the user ID (user_sys_id) for both the person who uploaded the document, whether internal or external, and the document owner.
Here's an example of how these columns work: If a document is uploaded by an individual user, their ID will appear under "Uploaded By". If the document is uploaded, for instance, to a candidate profile, the uploader will be listed as "Uploaded By" while the candidate will be designated as the "Document Owner" of the file.
