3654286 - additionalIdentifierDisplayedInUserSearch configuration not applied in the Observer Search functionality

The configuration additionalIdentifierDisplayedInUserSearch=emailAddress is not applied when searching for observers in an "Other" type item. Users are unable to see email addresses in the observer search list.

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

1. Navigate to Learning Administration > System Administration > Configuration > System Configuration > open the file SEARCH in edit mode >
2. Set additionalIdentifierDisplayedInUserSearch=emailAddress >
3. Click on 'Apply Changes' >
4. As an end-user, access any Learning item and click on 'Recommend' >
5. Search for a colleague and observe that the email address is visible in the user list >
6. In the library, search for any item classified as "Other" that contains tasks >
7. Request an observer >
8. Search for the same colleague as before and observe that the email address is not visible in the search list.

The additionalIdentifierDisplayedInUserSearch configuration is specifically designed to apply to the user recommendation popup search functionality and does not extend to the observer search functionality.

After a thorough assessment, it has been confirmed that this is the expected behavior and is functioning as designed. Specifically, as outlined in the configuration, the values are applied exclusively to the user recommendation popup search. This configuration does not extend to requests for observers.

The configuration file states that the settings are honored only for the peer recommendation popup.
