3654344 - Logistics Area not Proposed During Pick Task

System shows warning messages when clicking on Propose Quantities and Logistics Areas.

• "-----> Determination of source inventory failed for product"

  "----------> Inventory in logistics area not available"

SAP Business ByDesign

1. Go to Outbound Logistics work center.
2. Go to Task Control view.
3. Search for Task ID XYZ. (XYZ means Task ID)
4. Click on Confirm.
5. Click on Propose Quantities and Logistics Areas to the item without source logistics areas filled
6. Observe the following errors:

• "-----> Determination of source inventory failed for product"
  "----------> Inventory in logistics area not available"

The system searches for Material Flow Rules in the Parent Logistics Area (LOA) only, just after the Location.

Maintain Material Flow Rules (Advanced) for the Parent LOA in the DESTINATION, include all child LOAs within the Material Flow Rules in the DESTINATION, ensure the product is available in the child LOA only. Then accordingly it will search and propose LOA's

This is the standard behavior. The searching only happens in the Parent LOA. It searches for any LOA's inside the Material flow rules in the DESTINATION.
