Symptom
- Planned date of schedule call in the application "Find Maintenance Plan" or "Display Maintenance Plan" or "Manage Maintenance Plans" does not take the last completion call into account.
- The planned dates displayed in the application "Schedule Maintenance Plan" are correct as they consider the completion date of the previous call.
- There's discrepancy of planned date showing in difference maintenance plan applications.
Environment
SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition
Reproducing the Issue
- Access the maintenance plan in the application "Find Maintenance Plan" or "Display Maintenance Plan" or "Manage Maintenance Plans".
- Compare the planned dates of schedule calls with the planned dates displayed in the application "Schedule Maintenance Plan".
- Observe that the planned dates in "Find Maintenance Plan" or "Display Maintenance Plan" or "Manage Maintenance Plans" do not account for the last completion call, while the planned dates in "Schedule Maintenance Plan" do.
Cause
The planned date discrepancy occurs because the data in the "Find Maintenance Plan" or "Display Maintenance Plan" or "Manage Maintenance Plans" application is fetched from the database table MHIS. The table fields are not updated after a maintenance order is completed until the maintenance plan is re-scheduled.
Resolution
- Re-schedule the maintenance plan using the application "Schedule Maintenance Plan".
- Alternatively, use the "Mass Schedule Maintenance Plan" application to schedule a background job for maintenance plan scheduling, reducing manual effort.
