Symptom

When enabling CDC authentication, creating an account using email A and changing to email B to receive the authentication code results. After account creation, the candidate's primary email will be changed to email B automatically.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Enable CDC.
  2. Create a candidate profile using email A.
  3. Change the authentication email to email B during the verification process.
  4. Enter the authentication code sent to email B and log in successfully.
  5. Check the candidate's primary email in instance and viewed it has been changed from email A to email B automatically.

Resolution

This is a current limitation in the current design that was not initially considered in the requirements. This has been prioritized for the 1H 2026 release.

Workaround

Use only one email to create account and authentication.
