3654532 - The copied dynamic text is still linked to the original input control in SAP Analytics Cloud

• The page contains an Input Control and a text object. In the text object, it is defined Dynamic text to read the Input Control value.
• When copy the whole page and paste to generate a new page, it is found that the copied Dynamic text value still keep as the same as the original Input Control but not pasted one.
• If in a new story, using Import Story Pages to import this page, the dynamic text will be "Cannot find dynamic text object"

SAP Analytics Cloud 2025.14

1. Create a new story.
2. Add one Input Control to the story and add one Text object.
3. Set dynamic text to be the Input control value.
4. Copy the whole page and paste to generate a new page.
5. In the new page, try to change the input control value. Notice that the dynamic text in this pasted page is not changed.
6. Go back to the original page and change the input control value. 
7. Go to the pasted page again and find that the dynamic text is updated.
8. Create a new story and click + -> Import Story Pages, select the page above to import.
9. Observe that the dynamic text results in an error after the import. The error message is "Cannot find dynamic text object".

• When the 1st input control and 1st dynamic text is created, the dynamic control refers to the 1st input control.
• In the above workflow, no matter using Copy & Paste, or using Import Story Pages, the logic here is that the dynamic text is cloned so it is still referring to the very 1st input control.
• In the above Import Story Pages workflow, since the very 1st input control is not present in the new story, error "Cannot find dynamic text object" happens.

• This behavior is BY DESIGN.
• After copy & paste, or Import Story Pages, if user needs the copied dynamic text to be related to the copied input control. The dynamic text should be deleted and re-added to let it map to the copied input control.
